about

This is the final track of a modern Lo-Fi experiment called (MEMO)RIES. So, the project will go a little something like this...

1. A memory
2. My iPhone (including the recording of the song and creation of the artwork)
3. One voice
4. One instrument (there might be a few different ones as we go)
5. One take recording (a voice "MEMO")
6. One song a month (7 months)

lyrics

We were dad-less kids
Running out of our caves
Lost boys loose
On those boardwalk days
Twelve-year-olds
And no boundaries
Our spokes had seen
All of Virginia Beach

And if we didn’t go
We thought we might die
Lost boys living on the edge of life

So, on a day in the spring
We took to the coast
Made the crests our domain
And the ocean our home
I smiled to myself as the blue held my soul
Lost their faces in the deep
Then I was alone

And if I didn’t go
I thought I might die
A lost boy living on the edge of life

The world was murky in my eyes
The tide was churning every side
Caught in the undertow
I thought I might die
A lost boy lost on the edge of life

When I came out
New baptized
My bike was gone
My chains were sliced
I was deserted
Out on my own
A lost boy learns to be a man alone
When I see old pictures
And my mirrored eyes
I still feel like lost boy lost sometimes
